Dear Fellow Cruise Prospects: The purpose of this email to is to formally announce a fantastic cruise to Alaska!
We will depart from Vancouver, British Columbia on 9 July 2011.
Yes, this is the Alaska cruise that many of you have been hearing about that Joe Paonessa is organizing.
We will be sailing on the Diamond Princess, one of the truly magnificent ships at sea.
Dennis and Jane Baca were impressed with it,
and Melinda and I thought it was terrific when we sailed on it for 16 days in Asia in 2009.
We are sailing with Princess Cruise Lines because
they are the best at cruising and managing land tours in the beautiful interior of Alaska.
Princess has consistently been rated the best in Alaska for many years!
Moreover, Princess is one of a small number of cruise lines that are authorized to go into Glacier Bay National Park,
the most spectacular glacial viewing in all of Alaska!
Princess is also the only cruise line that offers the “Direct to the Wilderness” experience.
This means that you will disembark from the Diamond Princess at the end of seven-day Voyage of the Glaciers cruise,
and shortly thereafter, depart for the Princess Wildness McKinley Lodge in Denali State Park.
Mount McKinley is the tallest mountain in all of the North American Continent!
You will be able to view this monolith from your lodge!
And, because you are going into the interior the same day you arrive at Whittier,
you have the tremendous advantage of having more time in the interior to view the scenery,
wild-life and just escape into the tranquility of the fabulous National Parks of Alaska.
All other cruise line passengers remain overnight in Whittier/Anchorage.
Obviously, YOU WILL HAVE CHOICES on this vacation!
You can take just the Voyage of the Glaciers cruise.
We stop at the towns of Ketchikan, Juneau (capital of Alaska) and Skagway (take the train ride up the mountain!!!).
The day after Skagway, you will view Glacier Bay National Park and the following day cruise the College Fjord.
Your final stop will be Whittier/Anchorage, and you will return home from there.

For those who have the time and inclination to go into the interior, and stay at the Wilderness Lodges,
the breath-taking landscapes of this pristine countryside will be yours!
On the land portion of your vacation you will stay for one night at the Princess Wilderness McKinley Lodge,
two nights at the Princess Wildness Denali Lodge, located in Denali National Park,
then we will go to Fairbanks (home of Univ. of Alaska) for an overnight stay.
Your Natural History Tour in Denali is included, and a River Boat Cruise in Fairbanks is also included in your land package! Attached you will find valuable information on both segments of this unique cruise/land tour package!
It is wonderful to have choices!

Farther down this page you will also find a schedule of the pricing for each option that you choose.
