 Van Cunningham
Was the XO, Charliehorse 5 of D 3/5
from September of 71 to February 1972 with the 101st
succumbed to Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma on 20 September 2001.
He died 9 days after Sept 11 in the hospital.
Van was DA civilian who was not at the Pentagon that day due to his illness.
According to his wife, the nose of the aircraft impacted 20 feet from
where he would have been seated.  His office staff was wiped out.
His reprieve lasted only 9 days!  Amazing.
