Neil was a scout with
us.
He was killed shortly after getting his first confirmed
kill.
He was killed by a single AK round that went between
his chicken plates.
The pilot was a Mr.Herrick.
I can't remember the aircraft number, although, I
might have it on my map.
At the time of Jones' death, we were based out of
Camp Evans or Phu Bai.
I do remember that we were staging out of Quang Tri.
He was killed early in the morning, out west of Vandergrift
I believe.

be on our memorial page.
As soon as I can access my notes, I will forward
them to you.
