Some comments and photographs from Vern's Daughter, Sheri Cummins.

Thank you for reaching out Don.
I appreciate your kind words. I'm going through pictures now, but I have a hard time telling which group of guys belongs to which organization.
I feel like my dad had so many groups he was involved with.
I know that you guys were the most special, and the closest to his heart.

I've only found one picture that I know is definitely from you guys, and it's one of my favorites, because as a kid I found it so absurd.
I think I was about 11 maybe 10 years old when you guys had your first reunion.
Way too young to understand the concept of war, or camaraderie, or what the bond you guys shared.
In the weeks leading up to it my dad was ridiculously excited, although I don't know if that's the correct term. I do know he was happy.
And I was just so confused about what was so important about this whole reunion.
I know that he had arrived at the place where you guys were meeting fairly early-before any of your scheduled meetings were to take place.
And he took this picture. He was just so glad you guys were getting together.

My kids just brought me a second photo and since my dad is wearing the same outfit, I'm assuming it's some of you guys. :) Take care.
